Leo New Moon in Magha - Magnificent Splendor

On August 27th the cycle of the magnificent begins with the honouring of our past and all its inherited wisdom. This is such a delicious time of year we are entering as the fire of the summer begins to cool returning to the sacred spaces and magical places.

The Moon mergers with the Sun and opens the gate to new rhythms and sequences, arriving at its darkest point to gaze and amass the gifts from the pitṛ́ our divine ancestors not just through our bloodline, but most importantly from our lifetimes. Full Moon in Capricorn - The Evolution of Earth

Immersed in Saturn's energy, the Moon reflects the light of the Sun in Cancer who for now is keeping company with Venus.


Thoughts and concerns of security, nourishment and stability come more into focus as August progresses. The Moon conjunct and starved by Saturn is also being squared by Rahu and Ketu, activating our worry. Memories of the past and projections of the future are at odds with our security and comfort, either our outlook of the future may be overly negative or the memory of the past overly optimistic. Saturn and the Moon are wanting more precision in our perception and our reactions.


Our consciousness faces a conflict either by the things we think we need to be comfortable or what we see as necessary in meeting our emotional needs. These comforts and needs are going to be difficult to get met in this cycle.

Mars has just moved into Taurus, the sign of finances and food, where we can see a lot of spending with things related to protection. Venus (diplomacy, refinement, compromise) is now connected with the Sun and becomes agitated.

Our consciousness and soul reflect the need to develop our solving problems and meet adversity face on with grace. The power lies in our ability to remain in the heart and not the reactive space, becoming more precise with our lens and our directed energy, questioning from your heart space: is it real and is it true?

Remaining in the heart space in the face of fear and the unknown is always at the heart of Saturn's lessons.

Eclipses are like the resetting of our aperture, the windows that can magnify our human intention- for better or for worse.  This is the last of the Scorpio eclipses that contain the wisdom of fire illuminating what is calling from within. From the eclipse Venus is in the 2nd what we hold as important comforts, Saturn the 3rd how we collaborate and Jupiter in 4th our home, where we find nourishment, Mars the depositor of the eclipse is in transition moving from the 12th and Rahu is 7th relational contracts. 

Both of our financial planets (Moon and Mercury) and Sun and Moon governing planets indicate big changes with finance and how we are operating within the next month will come into effect.

Scorpio is the sign of Shakti deep feminine force, a tantric space where the power lies in our endurance and face the challenge of what lies deep within and drink our poison to alchemize it into our remedy.  Becoming our strength and healing and our mastery in the depth of love. 

The difference here lies in our optics, for if we are willing to let go, this eclipse represents emancipation or liberation and say thank you for this pain I accept it as my liberator and I ask Sarasvatī to give me wisdom and sweetness in my heart and tongue to pierce them with elevation and those I encounter.

If we are not willing to let go, we experience a sense of loss. This is where the pain truly lies, as the mind wheels our experience. From reading the chart and looking ahead, what I see is that it is critical that we hold the frequency of love deeply in our hearts so that this becomes our embodied vibration.
