The Birth of a Pearl- Full Moon in Libra Vedic Astrology

IMG_1323.jpg

Arriving at its peak of fullness at 5°of Libra the Moon delights in the energy of an exalted Sun and exalted Venus, teaching us that oppositions are not meant to break us apart they are a complement to each other, uniting and blending the polarities.

With the full Moon in Libra and the Sun in Aries it brings into focus a need to decide. Libra in its nature prefers pondering and weighing searching for a middle ground without having to take a stand, while Aries in its nature likes to take action and think of the consequences later.

These great luminaries are teaching us that through working together we can find the balance, creating supportive alliances and win/win solutions, birthing something greater than ourself.

At her peak the Moon finds her strength in the lunar house of Chitra nakshatra, where our emotional lens finds it’s activation in Mars , who is at the very center of the of this nakshatra giving us a crystallization in our perception, energising us with wisdom and strength to move forward.

As Mars and Venus, work through the Moon reflecting the more earthly masculine and feminine qualities, exerting a stronger influence on both our externals tides and our inner tides heightening possible tensions and pressure in our relationships.

One of Chitra is symbols is a pearl, which is formed at the depths of the ocean, giving us a sense of the deep price and sacrifice in the creation of a pearl , something of beauty through an irritant of sand in the center of the oyster.

We must remember that it is form that traps our soul and it is jiva (prana) that animates our human body, the container of our essence, as Venus sits in exaltation depositing the Moon with the transfer the genetic codes and the creation of life, Chitra nakshatra suggest the birth of something new to be experienced and nurtured, even through the discomfort.

The divine architect encourages and inspires us to keep going forward and reminds us of the beauty of the journey, in our trial and error as part of our experience where we need to have the courage to fulfil our karma and face what it takes to create something great with our lives.

May we find peace, common ground, and abundance in our relationships, as we blossom into deeper love and maturity birthing our destiny. Enjoy the strength of the Sun, the comfort and inspiration of Venus and the restraint of Saturn as we continue to experience the blossoming of the spring season.

Happy Hanuman Jayanti, the birthday of Lord Hanuman, the infinite strength, courage, service and loving devotion. Remember his story he moved mountains.

I send you love and luck with the Full Moon cycle

April New Moon Vedic Astrology

The path of our consciousness intersects with our soul 22° Pisces in Revati nakshatra where the Moon, our emotional body searches for truth as our minds and hearts get thrown into the deep end of our fantasy and overwhelm, in an attempt to escape the pressures of time.

Revati nakshatra nourishes the Moon guiding us to our next destination as it’s lord Mercury (our conscious mind) asists us to find interesting and creative solutions to practical problems.

It’s Jupiter, the lord of Pisces who deposits the Moon with its seriousness. Jupiter is under tremendous pressure from four powerful malefics -Saturn, Ketu and by aspect Rahu and Mars making it difficult to remain positive for the next few weeks under their influence until April 23rd.

April is a time for figuring it out and getting out of our way, it is a month of true beginnings according to Vedic and yogic cycles, the planetary energies influencing our April new Moon are intimately connected to the power of Shakti in Revati yet her environment is filled with a tough love lesson, she feeds and nurtures yet she must restrict and teach us discipline so we may reach our destination.

Revati suggests a need for us to share our grace, kindness, and compassion in by doing so we are nourished and protected in the face of change or transition. Where the more we give, the more we are replenished - experiencing the greatest prosperity is through charity.

We came here to grow on this polarity planet and we only grow through pressure and by facing it we become stronger and brighter. We are being taught to be comforted by discomfort, wherein the challenges become easy when met with enthusiasm and a sense of play.

Every seed needs to sprout to bloom in ecstasy dancing in the light of the Sun. Cross the threshold and become visible to the universe so that miracles can find you.

I send you love and luck during this New Moon Cycle

Holding the Key to Each Others Doors Rāhu /Ketu Axis Shift

IMG_0365.jpg

The main event of March is the axis shift of Rāhu and Ketu into Gemini/ Sagittarius on March 7th (mean node calculation) it’s quite safe to say that as they move into a new place they are quite immature and overconfident , it’s also safe to say that with Rahu moving into Gemini and its ruler being retrograde and debilitated and Ketu joining Saturn, there is no escaping the experience of this shift this month quite significantly.

Gemini and Sagittarius are places in the sky that embrace change and breaking though. Places where we need to adapt, using our intelligence, faith and trust. Malefics want you to make effort, that is the first thing we need to understand to the lessons we are being given. The lighter you are, the easier it is to jump over the hurdles.

Rāhu and Ketu naturally move in a retrograde motion and both nodes are disruptors and shakers, the difference is how they each destabilize. Rāhu the significator of worldly desire excels operating in the sign of Gemini, it quite powerful moving dynamically and energetically in this mercurial owned house. This is one of the best placements for Rāhu.

Ketu, the significator of spiritual craving for liberation, as it moves through Sagittarius tends to cause us to be uninterested in worldly affairs with an increase in spirituality, sometimes leading us toward a retreat from activity.

The meeting of Ketu and Saturn is quite significant. Ketu retrograding and joining Saturn, who is moving forward through the late degrees of Sagittarius. and the history of these two meeting is a little sour. Ketu will conjunct Saturn until January 2020 (key dates to watch for 2019 are below)

The good news is that Saturn-Ketu conjunctions bring major breakthroughs in technology and human consciousness. It is as if the groundedness of Saturn brings the transcendent awareness of Ketu literally “down to Earth,” while Ketu simultaneously causes people to transcend the existing Saturnian limits and confines of this world

The last transit of Rāhu/Ketu through Gemini/Sagittarius was from July 2000 – February 2002 , so look back to these time periods and see what what was occuring in our life to give you somewhat of a glimpse.

Key dates /Time periods

March 22nd

We will begin to feel an unsettling wave building as Mars enters Taurus on March 22 where Mars and Rahu cast their gaze onto Ketu and Saturn in Sagittarius (Mars has an 8th house aspect from Taurus.

April 29- May 10th

April 30th Saturn enters into a retrograde phase just as he meets up with Ketu. The two will travel in tandem, both retrograde and on May 8th they are within a degree of one another, through the summer.

Saturn, Mars, Rahu and Ketu are all aspecting 27° of Sagittarius Exact conjunctions and precise aspect on a single point from all four of the malefics is pretty extraordinary. It a time period to watch.

May

Mars enters Gemini and joins Rahu fanning the flames for an intense summer.

June

The first and third week of June, especially June 5th and June 14-19th

October

The month of October, especially October 4th-5th, 10th-12th, 25th- 31st

December

Christmas Eve and Christmas, including the eclipse that happens on the 26th.

We should understand which domains of life in our personal horoscopes will be touched by this transit in order to predict how the period will proceed. When we are conscious of these energies, we can be more successful in curtailing unhealthy desires (Rahu) and avoiding mistakes or apathy (Ketu.)

I send you love and luck with their transit

The Threshold of Endings and Beginnings Vedic New Moon March 2019

IMG_0312.jpg

The cosmic address of the March new Moon is found at 21°of Aquarius in the home of the austere planet Saturn, a place filled with electricity ruled the deeply mystical deity Ajaikapada, part Naga and part Rudra, a place intimately connected to the Kundalini Shakti, the lunar mansion known as Purva Bhadrapada Nakshatra.

The Moon (our consciousness) takes its journey through this fierce and stormy place on a hunt from deeper meaning, seeking to clear the path of outdated concepts, and attachments much like a sharp strike it creates a flash of light to give us a glimpse of what is to come, pulling our awareness towards the bigger picture, compelling us to make commitments to something greater than ourselves and our momentary happiness.

The penetrating lesson Saturn delivers though the Moon is one of circumspection and forethought a commitment to taking ownership of our thoughts, feelings and our actions, much like a river needs walls to be lead to the ocean, where it finds its depth and foundation, we too are best served when we are aligned with our focus and purpose.

As humans we are saturated in emotions, experiencing their friction against our thoughts and perceptions where they intertwine and colour our lives. Purva Bhadrapada Nakshatra suggests that there is something to sort out in our in how we reflect our interior world with our exterior world and get it straightened out rather quickly without mincing words, under this lunar cycle we can be critical harsh just like a fire that destroys,, so take care with your words, remember to be kind, and don’t get preachy with others as this nakshatra likes to do.

March is a challenging month where we are planting the seeds for 2019. Our new Moon is surrounded by unsteady energies - challenging Mercury retrograde and the upcoming Rahu/Ketu axis shift into Gemini/Sagittarius affecting us all for the next 18 months.

March is not a time for making it a time for bold steps, this is a time to learn how to sort out and roll up your sleeves and make things work on practical levels, so keep it organised and balanced and you’ll receive rewards for your courage in seeing the broader context.

Make sure to get physical exercise everyday this will help to release any tension and anxiety. This is not a time for being sedentary. Go outdoors. Breathe the fresh air. Allow Mother Nature to nurture you.

Lean into your Matra and let it work for you, as the original Rudra did to transform into the auspicious Lord Shiva. Feel the sound of divine dancing in all of your cells and elevating your frequency, create our own still point, a perfectly balanced position that keeps you aligned with your purpose, despite the chaos and distractions of the outer world, where we find our real joy no matter what.

I send you lots of love during this new Moon cycle

Siri Prakash

Alternative Thinking

IMG_0247.jpg

The very first of three Mercury retrograde cycles of 2019 begins on March 5 and lasts for thirteen days.

Mercury’s twists and turns in Pisces through March 15th before winding its way back to visit a friend’s home, the sign of Aquarius to toil the soil until the 12th of April.

During March it is wise to take cautionary steps as the atmosphere is abundant with unsettled planetary energies most significantly shift in consciousness with the is the upcoming change of the nodes of the Moon, Rahu and Ketu.

For the most part, Mercury’s retrograde will take place in Aquarius which is better than Pisces so during its stay in Pisces ( March 14th) proceed with caution with pursuing actions that require long-term decisions that could potentially affect your stability in 2019.

On the 15th of March, Mercury will cross back into Aquarius, and will not resume its direction motion until the 28th where it becomes more stable with each passing day.

During most of its transit Mercury will occupy the electric and fierce nakshatra Purva Bhadrapada, a stormy place ruled by Aja Ekapada a deity that is half Naga and half Rudra. Under its influence It is important that we are actively working to direct our mind and balancing our nervous system during its transit for the next 6 weeks and not letting the run off of our mind and nervous energy run us.

Purva Bhadrapada energy is dedicated to pursuit in the rising of the fires within (kundalini/shakti) and the consumption of samskara, to elevate our consciousness and awareness, we experience it now through Mercury’s transit, revisiting a place of discovery through careful analysis, letting go of old ideas, patterns and thought forms without anger but with gratitude for its for lesson.

Where we ned to be alert is in the hunt for our own truth it watch our our tongue as it can be quite sharp and piercing as a strike of the thunder and a howl. don't give into reactions or rashness and try not to preach.

So you can say thank you to Mercury in March for its twist and turns and doing us quite a favour by putting on the brakes and giving us thoughtful reflection to consider our actions, our speech and our path. Clearing the garden of of heart and mind to transform our ideas into the treasures of our heart.

Mercury retrograde is not not in a time of fear or worry but a time of observation that leads us to elevation The disciplined pursuit of stillness and detachment from form puts the yogi in a position to merge with the absolute, an infinitely expansive state.

I send you lots of love with Mercury transit

Siri Prakash

We are at the tipping point of a powerful shift when on March 7th Rahu and Ketu, will shift signs entering into Gemini and Sagittarius respectively where they’ll cause transformative eclipses for the next year-and-a-half. Ketu will join the karmic task master, Saturn in which will add a rocky dose of realism.

Astral Wisdom Full Moon in Magha Nakshatra

Screen Shot 2019-02-18 at 11.56.46.png

Coming into fullness, swirling with fire and sparkling with gifts the Moon shines brightly in the heart of Leo in Magha nakshatra, free from affliction receiving wise counsel from the Sun and Mercury in Aquarius.

Magha nakshatra is the brightest amongst all the nakshatras as well as the brightest star contained in the constellation of Leo.

Ruled by the Pitr our divine ancestors and Ketu the liberator, Magha is a deeply mystical nakshatra connected with the in between realms, where records are kept and wisdom is found. Its fiery and hot and not soft in any way, it’s agenda is to remind us of our sovereignty, individual strength, and the inheritance we’ve received from those who came before us.

In it most simplistic essence Magha deals with our past to shape our present, a place we can access our ancestors help to guide us, as Ketu the guardian of our past karmas releases what is ripe to be experienced into the present.

The Moon operating in this star field signifies the need to develop a healthy ego and temperament for our soul to accomplish its mission. With both the Sun and Mercury communing with the receptive Moon in a combined message teaching of social service and humanitarianism, we learn that we receive by giving. This is key in the tempering of this nakshatra where there is a risk of an overly inflated ego that is inhabited by arrogance and stubbornness where we can become overly identified with status.

As Mars in powerful in Aries behaving quite aggressively and Saturn and Venus tightly joined in Sagittarius. We may have felt more tired and drained and a little rough around the edges, the last week, Possible friction with others as we attempt to balance personal strength with interpersonal relationships.

As Venus will quickly join Ketu in Aquarius on the 24th making it a good time to heal emotional patterns that may not even be yours but what you may have learned, take the time to release the old stories of the past either way and help your family to release theirs.

The February full Moons lesson is of being comfortable and confident in our authority, without the need to prove it. Where we can experience a state of knowing in the throne of our soul experiencing all the creation of divine, standing beside us and in us, each and every moment on our path to dharma.

During the full Moon cycle take time and honour your ancestral traditions, your lineage and teachers connecting with your genetic and astral wisdom.

We have a sacred breath of life given by God a life that even the angels envy. May you be blessed and feel the strength of all that is supporting you.

I send you lots of love and luck during the full Moon cycle

Suniai Sidh, Listening New Moon in Śravaṇa

Screen Shot 2019-02-04 at 11.49.41.png

On February 4th the path of our consciousness, the Moon intersects with Sun our soul at 21° of Capricorn in Śravaṇa nakshatra a star field ruled by Vishnu that is deeply connected with Saraswati, transporting a message contemplation.

Capricorn is the feminine reflective quality of Saturn where we feel emotionally and experience it psychologically. The resource that Capricorn gives to the Moon is the capacity to face what we need to, and the endurance to withstand the challenges and fears we must face on our path of dharma.

Śravaṇa nakshatra is a star of making connection through learning and listening to hear the truth and have it merge with silence. Ruled by Vishnu, the one who is everything and is everywhere, it is easy to see why its associated with movement and the transference of information, as it was through Vishnu’s the very breath and sound that the Vedas were created.

This New Moon cycle is teaching us to create a stable inner structure so that we may receive, by bringing our awareness to locate the source so we may connect with what is eternal and true.

Śravaṇa Nakshatra suggests that there is something to sort out in our direction and in our path, how we perceive our path and how we see ourselves becoming individualised, where we have the choice to either we take hold of our time or become subject to it.

With Venus now in Sagittarius coming close to Saturn, and both planets being 12th from the Moon it offers us a period offers us a pause before leaping into action, with Mars moving into Aries, the day after the New Moon Mars where we will experience a rush of energy after the 9th once is passes though gandanta point where there is tension for a few days.

Fill yourself with light everyday and see that you are a part of creation and that you are creation. Examine and refresh your tools and thoughts, stay committed to the connection with your heart and with your higher mind.

Its a good time to be introspective, observing what is awakening and what needs to be let go, give this energy space to take hold, try not to talk to excessively, just be present. It is in our own sacred silence that we hear our spirit call.

I send you lots of love and luck with the new Moon Cycle

We saw many positive changes over the course of 2018 in bringing back and shifting feminine power and feminine voice.

This will be the last eclipse that Rahu will make in Cancer before moving on to Gemini in March. His last lunar eclipse in Cancer will raise questions in the nature of redefining of what security means to each of us personally, as well as on a global level. It will activate a shift in how we are perceiving and processing the worldly hypnotic trance that is feed into our thoughts, emotions that color and pattern our lives. It will bring a increase and heightened state in our sensitivity, magnifying it in the sign of Cancer, and with Mercury is in Capricorn and close to Ketu it means that both of our thinking planets involved in the eclipse indicating that this is a time to not take things so personally instead, face your responsibilities with greater commitment, be honest and sincere with yourself and promote kindness and determination and keep life simple.

At the time of the eclipse Rhau is seated in Punarvasu amplifying the goddess frequency of the divine mother awakening a deep devotional quality expanding our hearts and our capacity love. This placement of Rahu reinforces the divine feminine as seen through Aditti. This is a beautiful chance to be bathed in the divine love and to create a healthy innerspace Rahu wants to give this before it leaves Cancer in March.

Jupiter gives the Moon a uplifting 9th aspect to the eclipse from the house of Scorpio and with Mars and Jupiter in a Parivartana Yoga (mutual exchange) we are graced with opportunity to and courage to move forward, as this is a year of action and we are being pushed from the nest now with love and complete support.

As always is not advisable to do important actions around the time of an eclipse, and keep life simple in the eclipse, this is what the rishi’s taught and remember the days surrounding the full Moon can be a little emotional so don't take yourself too seriously.

Any form of spiritual practice is potent during eclipse times but spiritual practice is beneficial everyday.

Meditation Tip for the Full Moon

To Begin Sit comfortable in a cross-legged position with a straight spine bring your hands together in front of your heart and repeat 3 times Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo before beginning the exercise

Eyes: Closed & focused at the brow point.

Posture and Mudra: Raise the right knee up with the right foot flat on the ground, toes pointing straight ahead. Place the sole of the left foot against the arch and ankle of the right foot. The ball of the left foot rests just in front of the ankle bone of the right foot.

Make a fist of the left hand and place it on the ground beside the hip. Use this to balance the posture. Bend the right elbow and place it on the top of the right knee. Bring the right hand back along the side of the head with the palm facing the ear. Form a shallow cup of the right palm. Then bring it against the skull so that it contacts the skull below the ear but stays open above the ear. It is as if you formed a cup of the hand to amplify a faint sound that you want to hear.

Mantra: Inhale deeply and chant Maaa in a long, full, smooth sound. Project the sound as if someone is listening to you. As you chant, listen to the sound and let it vibrate through your whole body. If you chant in a group, hear the overtones that develop and let those tones vibrate all around you and in every cell of your body.

The mantra is Maaa. Chant it at a comfortable high pitch. When you have exhaled completely, take another deep breath and continue. In a group you may all inhale at different times. The group sound will seem continuous.

Time: Continue for 11 minutes.

Switch Sides: Then change the legs and hands to the other side. Continue for an equal amount of time. Start slowly. Learn to hold the concentration into the sound.

On January 6th at 21°of Sagittarius at 0:2:29 (CET) the New Moon Partial Solar Eclipse takes place in the presence of Saturn and Mercury in the Nakshatra of Purvashada, a lunar house owned by Venus and ruled by the Apas, the lord of waters. The first of the two eclipses in January will act as a gateway to what is to come in 2019.

Eclipses with Ketu reveal hidden and buried skills that come to the surface. Ketu’s mission is one of excavation and liberation, in doing so it wants us to go into the discomfort by concretely looking the dark parts of ourselves buried in the tangled confusion of our thoughts and emotions.

At the time of this eclipse, the Sun and Saturn very closely conjunct and through their lens they reveal issues with governments and their leaders, Saturn being the planet of karmic retribution and the Sun representing government and power. On personal level we may feel pressure to commit to our higher purpose, and in at the same time we may feel our enthusiasm or energy dampened by the effect of Saturn on the Sun. Our nervous system is can also be a little ‘cooked’ as seen through Mercury is in the presence of three fierce planets. Those with significant planetary placements in Sagittarius particularly ascendant or Moon will fell the effects of this eclipse more significantly.

Governing the Moon, Sun and Saturn is Purva Ashadha is a very fierce nakshatra, under it it can reveal our obstinacy, argumentativeness, and the inability to listen to advice.

The support and grace we have in January comes from Venus and Jupiter, the two great teacher planets, they bringing opportunities to expand our knowledge from two different perspectives and two levels of awareness. The second source of support comes from Jupiter and Mars who are in an Parivartana, exchanging and sharing their energies and resources. These planets offer us stability and strength.

2019 is related to the PItta (fire) and Vata (air) elements, this affects all forms of communications, our courage, education and efforts. This is a year to get out there and really create changes to manifest, this is a year to pull up your boot straps and go for it. The only caveats is not to react, direct your mind to a greater dimension of your creative expression and keep focused on the positive activated mind and action to manifest. We are entering in a place of inner knowingness , commanding our path, prepared and ready to follow our destiny.

Eclipses are points of change awakening us to our greater potential, they offer us insights into our own evolution. In the Vedic and yogic sciences the period of 3 days on either side of the eclipse should be avoided for new beginnings of major importance.

Keep up be the light and share your light I wish you the very best of 2019 , may we all be blessed, may peace prevail and may all people prosper by thy grace

Revolution and Revelation

Beautiful artwork by Jamila Starwater Tazewell

Becoming full at 6.43°of Gemini our last full Moon of 2018 draws resource in field of Ardra nakshatra a powerful place owned by the original form of Shiva, one that is intimately connected to the Kundalini Shakti.

Under the cold and burning influence of the Sun and Saturn, directly in opposition to the Moon, these two powerful malefics capture the Moon with their aspect, leaving nowhere for our emotional and mental body to hide. The penetrating lesson Saturn delivers though the Moon is one of circumspection and forethought a commitment to taking ownership of our thoughts, feelings and our actions, Saturn is insisting the way forward is of maturity, deeply rooted in the security of who we really are.

The echo locator of our heart (the Sun) is communing with our desire (the Moon) from the very center of the galaxy a place loaded with immense potency and power, seated next to the largest black hole, singing the song of our soul desiring to be heard and witnessed.

As humans we are saturated in emotions, experiencing their friction against our thoughts and perceptions where they intertwine and colour our lives. The intensity of 2018 transits were  teaching us maturity and responsibility in the expression and processing of our emotions and our actions, our inactions, the karmas we have created.

We have collectively evolved and expanded this year as our consciousness and soul pushed at times to the limit , held accountable by the consequences of time. The December full Moon gives us a leap of power and strength to merge with ourselves, integrating the lessons of 2018, the Ardra Moon under its intensity of deliberation and consequences lead us to a very deep spiritual experience. The fierceness of Ardra nakshatra bring us to a tête-à-tête with our soul.

The two houses prominently activated during the full moon cycle of Gemini and Sagittarius are places that embrace change and breaking though. Places where we need to adapt, using our intelligence, faith and trust. Adra gives gains and success after struggle or search, this is seen with the lesson of the Rudra transforming into the auspicious Lord Shiva using his commitment, and unwavering determination to merge with the soul using one of the many the names of God to cut through the mind and its overflow into the subconscious were our thoughts and emotions hold us back.

Those who are running a Ketu or Saturn dashas or have a Sagittarius, Virgo, Gemini or Aquarius or Capricorn ascendent or have the moon in Sagittarius will feel the impact of Moon the most.

When the Light Comes In. Full Moon In Taurus Vedic Astology

13680605_10209923034369435_588088716266242119_n.jpg

Becoming strong and full at 7° Taurus the full Moon arrives in the transforming lunar house of Krittika nakshatra, known in the west as the seven stars of the Pleiades. Krittika is a sharp lunar sign ruled by Agni the transforming fire of illusion.

With the Moon under the gaze of a combust Jupiter, retrograde Mercury and fiery Mars, our mental and emotional energies are ignited and can quickly run into intense overdrive, filling us with a passion that needs an outlet.

We may feel a calling from deep within that certain changes are needed, yet we may not know, which way to chose. What is important now is not to rush, but to take your time in making firm and steady steps forward. Do not over pressurise yourself and try to accomplish everything at once, or even worse make impulsive and hasty decisions. Take your time, give it space to unfold until mid December.

Both of the key Lunar movements this month (new and full Moon) took place the homes owned by Venus. The new Moon was under the influence of retrograde Venus and now our full Moon is influenced by a combust Jupiter and Mercury retrograde. This combination heralds a time for us to analyse our own character and our tendencies, rather than point the finger and jump onto our soap box as the Sun and Jupiter can encourage us to do.

Our November full Moon is not a tender, even though it contains a powerful nurturing quality it wants to clear out quickly and without mincing words, we can be critical harsh just like a fire, the energy of the full Moon carries a potential and the resource to get things done and remove what is not needed. The key is in how you transform without setting everything ablaze, use your meditation and your mantra, call upon your breath when you are feeing the pressure allow these tools to work for you.

To conquer the mind is to conquer the world. ‘Guru Nanak

To conquer the mind is to conquer the world. ‘Guru Nanak

One this very special Taurus Full Moon we celebrate the birth of Guru Nanak Dev Ji on Kartik Pooranmashi

Defining what you need- New Moon in Libra

Vishaka

The new Moon joins the Sun at 21° in the constellation of Libra on November 7th in Vishaka nakshatra, a place of fire and of purpose. It is the crossing of threshold where we become like an arrow, with a one pointed focus awakening the opportunity to hear our calling and to aim for higher goals.

The movement of Mars into Aquarius just one a day before our November new Moon, marks an important shift, with a notable sense of release and relief. Now free and uncorrupted by the influence of Rahu and Ketu, Mars will awaken our inspiration, in the coming weeks, improving our perception and our attention to detail, while is resides in field of Dhanishta.

The dark new Moon’s partner, the Sun is in its debilitated place in Libra, where it’s light is humbled and disrupted. The diminished light of both the Sun and the Moon, is to teach us to navigate and to locate what awakens our heart and what makes it sing, where we feel free and uplifted, it is in the darkness where we must listen, to find our courage to make a choice and commit to it.

In the days surrounding the new Moon we may experience, low physical and mental energy, this is echoed by the weakened Sun and with the the ruler of Libra, Venus, who is in its retrograde motion, although powerful in its own house, its effect can disrupt its natural expression inclining us to be less social and more withdrawn.

As the sky is the teller of time and the unfolding of our of karmas, we still can change our destiny by taking action everyday, this November new Moon is encouraging us to cross the threshold of indecisiveness and turn it into action. With the first step forward we honour ourselves by becoming ourselves, becoming visible to the universe so that miracles can find us.

This is a powerful time of integration that serves as a catalysing moment in our Soul’s journey to wholeness, Vishaka nakshatra is only concerned with dedication and devotion we need both to achieve anything worthwhile. Define what you need and move forward with sheer intent.

I wish you a very Happy Diwali, the light of eternal abundance, that shines within you everyday

Locating The Beat Of Our Heart October Full Moon

Image Nasa

Image Nasa

Becoming full at 7 °06 of Aries on Wednesday, October 24th the bright full Moon in the field of Ashwini nakshatra, a part of the sky where two very bright and prominent stars, Hamal (alpha arietis) and Sheratan (beta arietis) are located. A highly motivational space filled with the knowing of how to shift the currents of our heart and actions, to our desired and destined direction.

Mars is a key in directing the energy of our October full Moon, not only as it depositor in Aries but with its beneficial 4th aspect from its exaltation point in Capricorn. Energizing and influencing the Moon with a sheer force of inspiration and will, lighting us up from within so that we can emanate and transmit its creative force, allowing its warmth and passion to lead us to the very beat of our heart. Mars, you see is reading our pulse.

Our inner fire is our sacred gift to be used wisely to activate our life force, putting it to good use where we are inspired and leads us to our dharma. What will need tending to during this lunar cycle is the quickness of our mind and emotions, which will be operating quite fast and with a pointed sharpness. In this period we can become emotionally aggressive and reactive in a way that only ends up hurting us. It is an influence that comes from a place where we may have felt contained or controlled over the last few months, spilling over of what has been stuck within us to be released.

Mars is sharing its powerful energy to propel us forward over the next few weeks before he leaves his place of exaltation in November, this is a chance to harness it and use it to our advantage. Don’t allow the commotion of emotions over take you.

With the windy, cold and dry seasonal changes upon us now in the northern hemisphere, we begin a time where Vata qualities are activated so get out your moisturizing oils and use them liberally, oils are stabilizing to our nervous system and help to insulate our body, you may try adding some citrus olis to awaken the mind or a frankincense oil for protection. With the Sun debilitated in Libra it’s likely that we are in need of a little extra care now.

On the 23rd the night before the full Moon marks the harvest festival known as Sharad Poornima (‘Early Autumn Full Moon’) dedicated to Lakshmi, the goddess of spiritual and material prosperity. It is believed that she grants blessings of abundance to those who stay awake on this night, honouring her.

Be blessed, be bright and keep connected to your heart

I send you lots of love during the Full Moon cycle

Jupiters Transit into Scorpio

Photo Nasa

Photo Nasa

The magnificent transit of Jupiter is upon us, but is it is not simply moving houses it is moving fast, stirring up meaningful changes that will touch each one of us over the next thirteen months.

The first of part of Jupiter transit is seen as it moves into the natural 8th house of the zodiac the sign of Scorpio, the sacred place where we change, where we journey into the deep dive of transformation to come through the otherside renewed.  Jupiter is welcomed with open arms in the house owned by Mars, a friend to expansive Jupiter, becoming bountiful place unrestricted in the depths of Scorpio.

During its transit into Scorpio, Jupiter will have a strong influence all three of the water signs Pisces, Cancer and Scorpio. Pay special attention to these houses in your chart especially if you have your ascendent or planets  in Anuradha, Uttara Bhadrapada and Pushya Nakshatra, wherever Jupiter transits, it expands and where it aspects, it blesses those areas.

This transit of Jupiter is not only a very important and but a unique one, much more significant then when it was in Libra. Jupiter will move very fast through Scorpio for the first five months of its transit and we may feel that we are being challenged to match up to its speed and with the changes it brings.

As quickly as it will move through Scorpio, it take a quick yet meaningful dip into Sagittarius where come to a halt and station on March 30, 2019, in its own home in the nakshatra of Mula, the very center of the galaxy in a powerful gandanta point (karmic knot) joined with Saturn and Ketu.

This is quite an amazing transit, as this will place three heavyweight and spiritual seeking planets into one very concentrated period for three weeks. Jupiter powered in its own home depositing Ketu and Saturn. From Sagittarius both Jupiter and Saturn will activate the house of Gemini, another important area awakened to take note of in your chart from March 30th until April 22nd. But this is truly once in a lifetime for this transit and luckily for us Jupiter will be in control this one.

Before leaving Sagittarius Jupiter will retrograde from April 11th until the 22nd before returning back on April 23rd to Scorpio where it will remain until November 2019

There are two noteworthy dates in 2018 worth mentioning; the first of which is on November 11th when Jupiter will be in exact degree with Rahu, where Rahu will be creating a bit of a rucks. Rahu wants everything larger than life and it will wants it now, it wants all that is hidden and is secret, try not to get caught in the smoke and illusion of Rahu, as it can lead to make mistakes.

The second is on December 23, when Mars moves into Pisces, exchanging water signs with Jupiter in Scorpio, in a positive trinal relationship between two friends, again look to which houses these are for you and use it to your advantage. When we have Jupiter guiding the power and force of Mars, things tend to move in a positive way.

I send you lots of love and luck with the transit of Jupiter, may you be blessed and feel the support of the universe all around you.

Peering Deep into Well, Full Moon September Vedic Astrology

photo@satnamk

photo@satnamk

Becoming full at 7°of Pisces the full Moon draws resource in the the star field of Uttra Bhadrapada plunging us into a magical and electrical space ruled by the Naga, a place intimately connected to the Kundalini Shakti.

The watery and fiery September full Moon is directed and purposeful, seeking out the depths of our essential truth to find a balance between courage and fear when it comes to making decisions, rather than simply falling into the escapist potential of Piscean energy.

After this incredibly challenging summer, where we have been taken to our depths, pushing many of us to what was our perceived limits and our natural inclination to avoid the uncomfortable, we became soberly awakened to where our actions and thought patterns have lead us to.

As humans we are saturated in emotions, experiencing their friction against our thoughts and perceptions where they intertwine and colour our lives. In the Vedic system, Saturn falls at all the heart of all water signs, teaching us maturity and responsibility in the expression and processing of our emotions. Much like a river that needs walls to lead it to the ocean, where it finds its depth and foundation, we too are best served when we are aligned with focus and purpose.

The lesson of the September full Moon is to gain control of our emotions and our negative self programming by creating better path-ways by leaning into our mantra, use it and cut though the overflow of the subconscious mind . Sound current is the eco location of the soul connecting to the infinite, put it to work for you.

As September closes so does the drama of the Summer and with the opening of the month of October we will feel the intensity shift and begin to feel supported once again.

I send you lots of love during the full Moon cycle

The Healing Moon

Shiva Mandala1.jpg

The Moon arrives at its peak fullness at 9º of Aquarius on August 26th, brimming with energy and healing. The Moons draws her resource in the star field of Shatabishak nakshatra, a place in the sky energetically charged with wholeness, peace and protection in the home of 100 healers, where lost and hidden technologies are found.

Shatabishak is a bridge to the past and future, it is a portal deeply connected with sound, the mysterious force the pervades the universe, bringing to the surface of our consciousness very old and possibly hidden diseases, not only of the body but of the mind and heart, providing the needed space of transforming it.

The Moon receives a firm aspect from Saturn from the very center of galaxy, a place loaded with immense potency and power, who is doing its last bit of soulful and practical house cleaning- removing what is no longer working, that which weighs us down and what it not true. Its 3rd aspect fills us with immense capacity to look to the root cause and to take ownership of our actions, inactions, the karmas we have created.

Jupiter also brings his attention to the Moon,  with his beautiful glance of a 5th aspect, recharging and delighting our minds with a generous dose of positive energy, lighting the inner spaces of our heart and soul, to see the bounty of rewards that lie ahead of us, for the efforts we have made in the life lessons we have been dealt over the last several months, as marked by the intense and fiery Mars+Ketu combination, the trio of eclipses and several retrograde planets.

Full Moons reveal the shadows of what is not forgiven in our lives, the energy that is not flowing, and blocks in our mind and in our heart. Finding your mantra is a effective tool for  healing and transformation with this Moon. Sound has the power to keep our mind in the vibration of our choice, so take care what you repeat.   Find your mantra and attach yourself to it.  Allow it to carry you, allow it to shield you, and allow it to serve you.

Don’t lose faith, don’t lose heart and never surrender

I send your lots of love and luck

New Moon Partial Solar Eclipse in Ashlesha

photo @chr.Artic

photo @chr.Artic

The path of our consciousness, the Moon crosses and intersects with Sun our soul on August 11th in the star field known as Ashlesha Nakshatra, governed by the mystical Naga. It also marks the end of the summers eclipses with the third and final horse shoe or partial solar eclipse visible to those in the northern and eastern part of Europe.

New Moons are about withdrawing our energy and turning within, eclipses are often described as a time seizing, but more significantly they are a time for a deep release as the Sun our soul is set free from the smoky haze Rahu.

With the two planets associated with the mind, Moon and Mercury, involved in this eclipse, it may leave us feeling more emotional than normal as well as adrift in a sea of irrationality, intensifying our thoughts, creating a pressure on our nervous system.

Ashlesha clings and protects what is does not want to part with, it is alchemical and transformative field in the sky, that suggests that the matters that arise during in this 28 day cycle will be insightful, yet likely a struggle to let go of.

As we become intertwined with retrograde Mercury enhancing the access our higher senses to become harmonised with our environment so that we may instinctively navigate the path forward.  We are in a time to be mindful of our speech, communication and of our thoughts checking in to see if they are true and clear. Not allowing the lower caustic reactions to take hold.

Understanding this cycle , think of what a snake must endure in the process shedding it’s skin. As their eyes become clouded over, to the point in which they can no longer see, they become more sensitive and much more prone to strike. They instinctively understand it is the time to slow down and retreat into a safe and secure place, allowing themselves the space to transform.  Ashlesha Nakshatra is a master of the senses, the guardians of treasures within, connected to vibrational energy picking up the pulses in the surrounding areas; tapping in and tracking its energy.

Ashlesha is leading into the deep spaces of our mind, discovering our treasures, our shadows and the impulse of our desires. Preparing for the birth of something new and far better.

With all the difficult planetary influences at this time, the recommendation in August is to create more time and space for rest, retreat and relaxation. In the days leading up to a new Moon is when the Moon's energy is weak and vulnerable, which translates to physical and mental fatigue or weakness. So take time for yourself. If you can do not start new projects or make important moves or decisions until September.

We are in the home stretch of the toughest retrogrades of the year and some pretty intense eclipses, keep up and you will be kept up!

Full Moon total Lunar Eclipse Shravana Nakshatra

Untitled-1.jpg

In a solar eclipse the path of our consciousness, the Moon crosses and intersects with Sun our soul. During a lunar eclipse, it is the shadow the the earth, the material world that is cast upon the Moon, where by our concrete reality  becomes unclear and can seem disrupted.

During the eclipse on July 27th this disruption is compounded a retrograde Mercury where our intellect seated in the electric domain of the Naga,   a very volatile point in the sky that rattles and impairs our judgment.

We have all been either dealing with or witnessing the power play and tension between retrograde Mars and Ketu now with the Moon joining them in the abode of Capricorn we are being lead into the deep spaces of our mind, discovering our treasures, our shadows and the impulse of our desires.

The eclipsed Moon in Shravana Nakshatra suggests that there is something to sort out in our direction and in our path,  how we perceive our path and how we see ourselves becoming individualised, where we have the choice to either we take hold our time or become subject to it.

The unavoidable changes are already taking place and you have the power to set in motion what is right for you, now is the time to get the behind the scenes work done and to get yourself orientated in the direction where you want to go.

With Saturn  sitting in the the center of the galaxy and being  12th from the moon in Mula Nakshatra it is whispering support and giving us internal and wise counsel during this period, connecting with our roots and the depth of who we are.

Mars will end its retrograde in the end of August where we will start to experience forward movement in our physical world and with less much inner tension. Until then its energies will be heightened teaching us to tune into the intensity of our feelings and to be present with them, not act on them only to be conscious of them.

This incredible Lunar eclipse will take place on Guru Purnima where all our teachers and spiritual masters become more accessible, making it much easier to connect their energy.

Fill yourself with light everyday and see that you are a part of creation and that you are creation. Examine and refresh your tools and thoughts, stay committed to the connection with your heart and with your higher mind.  We are in a special time and where prayers and mantra are amplified make use of them. Its a good time to be introspective, observing what is awakening and what needs to be let go, give this energy space to take hold, try not to talk to excessively, just be present.

I will be giving readings at the the European Yoga Festival in France from July 28- August 4th as well as teaching three workshops

I send you love and luck during this eclipse cycle

New Moon Partial Solar Eclipse the Birth of Motion

IMG_6021.jpg

New Moon solar eclipse in the domain of Punarvasu is the first of this summer’s three eclipses.

Solar eclipses are about change and are most powerful and destabilizing in the areas of their path of visibility, where they create a heightened and sensitive atmosphere.

Eclipse effects do not come and go on they day they arrive, their effects last for months. This particular eclipse on July 12/13th (depending where you live) will not come with a dramatic flare for most, but it will make sure we take notice of its presence by delivering more subtle effects that become clearer in the upcoming weeks beginning with a whisper and building to a thundering roar at the end of the month with the total lunar eclipse.

The star of this celestial event is the Nakshatra Punarvasu whose message is of the pure shakti, a rebirth and creation, bringing the light of Jupiter to the forefront softening this eclipses edges. It is calling from our deep unconscious to heal our divisiveness and the contention within us clearing the way to an accelerated motion, particularly in areas where you have been resisting change. Purnavasu is a Nakshatra of patterns and wants us to look at the patterns in our life where we have a chance to examine and redefine, to go out of our comfort zone, Rahu pushes for this action with its eclipse.

We have been in a messy period for the last few months where at times we may have felt that we do not know what to do, what to think or what is our purpose and downright irritable at times. This is largely seen by the influence of  Ketu joined with retrograde Mars, and a retrograde Saturn aspecting the Sun challenging our purpose and our foundation in the roar of tension and frustration. The two eclipses this month will spotlight where you need to take notice and give attention for the next several months.

Fill yourself with light everyday see that you are a part of creation and that you are creation.
