Moving into opposition with the Sun, the Full Moon arrives at 7° Capricorn in Uttar Ashada nakshatra, the constellation of conquest and victory.

The conscious light of both of our luminaries are gripped in restraint by a very powerful retrograde Saturn. With Mars now in Leo asserting his power, under the guidance of Jupiter, Mars glances at Ketu in Scorpio activating him creating an atmosphere of tension and uncertainty.

The gentleness of the Moon does not fare well in areas that require courage, determination or fortitude. Yet in its fullness it excels at shedding light into the darkness, reflecting it back to earth for us to observe the contrast of light and dark, to see the cracks in the constructs we have created and have been created for us. Wherein the absence of light becomes more evident, alerting us to where we need to direct our attention and awareness.

With transiting Mars in Leo awakening Ketu in Scorpio, the fiery pair like to dig deep, to uncover things, they thrive in the challenge of facing our fears, recognizing vulnerabilities in the face of uncertainty. Teaching us that with development and habit of self-trust it creates within us self-reliance, where anything becomes possible.

Uttar Ashada nakshatra is a fierce place that seeks victory through conquest. To have victory one must be prepared to battle. Whether the victory you seek is in overcoming negative habits, creating positive ones or overcoming an adversary with your wits, it takes a choice to stand up and declare your chosen path.

As the heat of fire reduces wood to ashes, the fire of knowledge burns to ashes all karma.-Krishna

This full Moon cycle is not an easy one. We are being called to face the facts and to challenge the truth we have created. To bring our light and consciousness to the challenge. As we face the difficulty can we manage the outcome, otherwise it will manage us.

The Full Moon will also mark Guru Purnima, a special day for lovingly honoring one’s beloved spiritual teachers. The illumination of the Moon in Saturn encourages our heartfelt devotion that supports the connection with our guides and mentors who enrich our lives and show us the way. This includes your mother, and father, which are also the Sun and the Moon. So keep them in your prayers as well

I wish you love and luck with the Full Moon cycle
