The essence of Rudra, the deity governing Ardra Nakshatra, is rooted in the pursuit of connection and self-realization. Rudra evolved into Lord Shiva through intense repetition of mantras (japa) and deep meditation. It's believed that within Ardra Nakshatra, Shiva's cries and howls birthed Raaga, the vibrant melodic sound that colours and moves as it unites. It was through guidance to chant to meditate, and to attain stillness and tranquility, Rudra eventually transforming into the Auspicious One, Shiva.
