This months moon cycle starts off with the New moon in Libra in the Nakshatra of Swati and with the celebration of the Dwali (The Festival of Lights) on October 30th
Swati is the Nakshatra that drives us to become an individual. It’s deity is Vayu who rules the wind (prana) making us stronger and a bit of a maverick.
The days leading up to the new moon you may have experienced frustration, confusion, fear and overall malaise, this is due to the Sun’s debilitation in Libra and the moon approaching its darkest moment, the two luminaries of the sky are not at their brightest or highest potential to lend us their strength.
Adding to this mix we can feel in conflict with our worldly desires and what we need to really be paying attention to. Unnecessary fears arise that are imagined or distorted and resentments and anger can be easily ignited. This is due to the exact conjunction creating war between Venus and Saturn in in Scorpio.
The positive side during this dark time is that we are reminded and encouraged to ignite our own inner light and life force, not just for celebration but in every day. The light returns to us through our devotional practice and with pranayam exercises moving the force of life and light though our entire being.
Throughout this month it is critical how we manage or energy including how we spend it and not allow our monkey mind to run us. We will have to work harder to focus and push through the fog and distraction in order to succeed.
Thankfully we have the support of Mars who will move into Capricorn in the next few days positively effecting us with increased energy and stamina to push us to be more productive in a practical and tangible way. The Nakshatra’s in this mix will add a lot of intensity to ensure our success.
Summary
The theme of the month is to get back to basics our practice keep working our health with a real honesty and vigour. Not talk about it, just doing the work.
We are still in the time of Kala Sarpa Yoga, karmas are being completed and we are finishing an important cycle. We have a lot of support but we must activate it by initiating and dedicating ourselves to consistent practice and not be lead astray by our mind. Instead redirecting with complete devotion to our own soul and to a deep and all encompassing love for who we are. The good and perceived bad, all of it.
Vata (Wind) energy is active this month due to seasonal change and the New Moon’s Nakshatra it leads to drying out and spacing out. Contributing further to it we are spending more time indoors which leads to increased time spent on our computers which is vata activating and with the heat turned on it creates and fosters imbalances. To support our vitality and functionality nature comes to the rescue and provides us with foods that counter and help balance these energies. Eat and drink warming, grounding sweet and moistening foods. Eat good oils and use body oils almond, sesame in combination with etheric oils, such are pure sandalwood, frankincense which are great healers and protectors. Chywanaprash and amala are good to consume now.
It will get better and in the Full Moon report later this month we will have more positive influences
The Mantra for the Month is Ang Sung Wahe Guru
This mantra expresses a universal truth. Repeating it creates a thought, which gradually guides the psyche to adjust itself. It re-connects every fragmented projection of the psyche, each separated part of the body, and synchronises the finite sense of self to the Infinite Oneness. This act of rejoining the separated parts is the quintessential act of healing. Under attack, under war, under the pressures of fear, this mantra keeps us together, conscious, and ready to act. It brings the inner peacefulness that comes only from the touch and scope of spirit.
Try it for 40 days 3-11 minutes a day and see what happens!
Yogi Bhajan said ‘’if you have put God outside of you, there’s nothing in you, and that’s why you’re suffering.” “You need a reality that Ang Sang Wahe Guru, with every limb, with thirty trillion cells of you which change themselves every seventy-two hours, God is in you.”
I wish you allot of Luck and send you lots of Love
