Ignition & Sparks Vedic Forecast September

September will continue to bring challenging planetary configurations throughout the month with Mars continuing its fiery path through the sky, and Saturn in its stationary position in Scorpio. The North and South Nodes will be settling in to their new houses and Jupiter changing houses. These are all signals we are about to change perspectives and our focus.

The month begins with a Mercury still retrograde and in close conjunction with Mars crossing over same degree as the solar eclipse. When an angry planet such as Mars crosses over this it stimulates and stirs the negative energy of the eclipse. Mercury (our intellect)  is impaired by fiery Mars and the Sun making our communications cut like a knife. Mercury’s retrograde was affected  by the Solar Eclipse making this retrograde a powerful one.

By the  5th Mercury will finally turn direct but please  wait until after the 8th to make major decisions as Mercury needs a bit of of time to settle and strengthen.

On 6th the Full Moon in Aquarius in the Nakshatra of Shatabisha aspecting Mercury, Mars and Sun in Leo. At the time of the full moon this stars is in its most healing position in the sky. But there is a flip side to this star and the aspects the Moon is giving. Things that are hidden and that which we hide are likely to come out or we are in pursuit of a discovery. It is closely connected to media so things can come out in to the light during this period+/4 days. A good practice for this full moon is humility and service. More on the full Moon in the upcoming Full Moon post

On the 12th Jupiter moves into Libra and for the first 45 days it will be in the Nakshatra of Chittra.  Social justice, humanitarianism and equality are the theme for the first 45 days.  Still we must practice the art of negotiation and not  bypass  difficult discussions. Compromises are key now to our relationships  as well as not projecting onto to others what is really going on inside of us. Jupiter will remain in Libra for the next 13 months, I will post a Jupiter by sign next week.

Venus will join Mercury, Mars and the Sun in Leo on the 15th. Passions and heated discussions continues as Venus is afflicted by Mars and Sun and the next day we have a close conjunction of the Moon and Rahu in watery Cancer.  The 15-17th will increase the intensity of our thoughts and passions with a propensity for fighting, watch your ego, take care not to be too domineering and forceful in your relations between these dates.  These planets are representing our intellect; ego, passion and drive are in traffic jam, and we all can relate to that feeling.

By the time the Sun  Sun moves into Virgo on the 17th a more logical influence starts to take hold and it is no longer about the king (Leo) it is now more focused on the structure and scrutiny of our lives, our immediate surroundings and our leadership.

Continuing the logic and scrutiny theme the New Moon on the 20th (19th for the US) in the Nakshatra Uttarphalguni the star of humanitarianism, business,  organizations as well as contracts with others and setting up mutually beneficial partnerships. Be on the lookout for people who can assist you now, like a significant teacher. This is quite an enduring Nakshatra and  the driver of this next new moon cycle. More details by sign in the upcoming New Moon post.

Summary

The difficulty of summer continues where there is a call for grace and a call to the breath. A  positive attitude and detachment and some common sense are the remedies  for this period (as well as a great exercise and mantra below). The good news is by the month end our logic and analytical faculties are returning we have a push from Mars and Jupiter for change.

For the first  two weeks and a half weeks of the month take care and avoid confrontations as people are easily angered and can act out arrogantly and without active clear thinking.

By the last week of the month we are more directed and driven by logic and investigation.

We have begun  Kala Sarpa Yoga which is pattern in the sky where the nodes Rahu and Ketu hemming the planets.  This will last from September 18 to October 1st followed by two weeks out of this yoga combination.  This in and out pattern lasts five months until mid-January 2018. We last experienced this yoga in the months around the Presidential election last fall. Emotionally and psychologically it can make us feel that we have less free will or we may feel a certain destiny occurring in the world.  It creates pressure like a belt that is too tight  around the waist. Our sensitivity is increased as well  so do practices that calm and relax you and make you laugh most importantly connect with the breath. This really helps .

Be of service rather than in competition with others.

I send you love and luck

Meditation for the Month

Ego Eradicator

Posture Sit in Easy Pose  with a straight spine and raise the arms up to a 60-degree angle.

Curl the fingertips on to the pads of the palms at the base of the fingers. Thumbs are stretched out pointing towards each other above the head.

Eyes:  Closed, focused at the third eye point (between the brows)

Breath *Breath of Fire

*Breath of Fire is rapid, rhythmic, and continuous. It is equal on the inhale and the exhale, with no pause between them (approximately 2-3 cycles per second). Powered from the navel point and solar plexus. The inhale and exhale, the air is expelled powerfully through the nose, by pressing the navel point and solar plexus back toward the spine. This feels automatic if you contract the diaphragm rapidly.

Time  1 - 3 minutes.

End inhale deeply and bring the arms overhead with the thumb tips touching. Exhale and relax the arms down.

"There is a way through every block." YB

For Peace

Mantra -Sat Narayan Wahe Guru Hari Narayan Satnam

Sit in easy pose with your hands in gyan mudra (thumbs and forefingers touching).

Time - 11 minutes.   You can do this while you cook, while you drive, while you walk.
